edRISK Introduces New Chief Strategy & Membership Officer
Over 25 Years of Experience in Employee Benefits and Consulting with an Expertise in Captives
December 11, 2025 (Burlington, VT) – edRISK, a sponsored captive domiciled in Vermont representing three distinct captive insurance programs for educational institutions, edHEALTH, edLIABILITY, and edPROPERTY, announced today that Jeannine Chiappini will join the organization effective January 5, 2025, as their new Chief Strategy & Membership Officer.
“We are beyond excited to welcome Jeannine to our team. With her years of experience leading consulting teams, crafting multi-year benefits strategies, and serving as a trusted advisor to CFOs, CHROs, and school leadership, she’s the perfect addition to our coalition. She possesses industry knowledge, extensive experience, and a collaborative spirit that will greatly support the varied needs of member-owners and their advisors,” said Tracy Hassett, President and CEO of edRISK.
Chiappini has over 25 years of expertise in employee benefits consulting and human resources, with a deep expertise in group captives, self-funded health plans, and pharmacy benefit management. Most recently, Chiappini served on the executive leadership team of a prominent benefits and captive consulting firm. Before that, she held management positions at other nationally recognized consulting firms. Throughout her career, she has partnered closely with educational institutions across the country, developing a nuanced understanding of faculty and staff needs, school culture, budgeting cycles, governance models, and decision-making processes.
"With the steady growth of our coalition and the increasing complexity and costs in insurance, we want our member institutions to have more dedicated resources readily available. Having Jeannine on the leadership team offers edRISK and our member-owners another in-house insurance expert. Her experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our organization," noted Stephen Hannabury, Chair of the edRISK Board. John Burke, edHEALTH's Chair of the Board of Managers and Subscribers Advisory Committee, added, "With healthcare costs increasing across the board, on both the medical and pharmacy side, the time is right to bring in a benefits leader to partner with our schools and their advisors in finding the right solutions for their faculty and staff."
"I am truly excited to join the edRISK team at such a pivotal moment in its evolution. Our members are the heartbeat of this organization, and I look forward to building deep relationships, championing their needs, and helping steer a strategic vision that strengthens our collective future," said Chiappini.
